FMCA members who also belong to Thousand Trails get together for games and fun.

We have approximately 70 member families who belong to FMCA and the Thousand Trails campground membership system. We rally five times each year (January, March, May, September, and November) at Thousand Trails preserves in Texas, and we also gather at the Six-State Area Rally and FMCA’s Family Reunion & Motorhome Showcase events.
In 1987, 23 couples met at Medina Lake, Texas, to start our chapter. Thousand Trails Preserves presented us with a chapter banner at that time, which we still have. In 1988 we elected our first chapter "sheriff," Larry Gardner. Ever since then, funds raised through fines assessed by the sheriff and from our chapter raffle are donated to our adopted charity, the Ronald McDonald House in San Antonio. We have donated approximately $500 every year, plus we stock the house with paper goods and soap, and take care of special needs as they arise.
If you like variety, we are your group. Each rally is unique. We present style shows, go shopping, and visit area attractions. We hold RV seminars, and create our own versions of game shows such as “Let's Make A Deal” and “The Newlywed Game." We make crafts and play various board games such as Mexican Train and Pegs and Jokers. You will have fun.
Several charter members still attend our rallies; we currently have approximately 25 to 35 coaches at each event. Winter Texans are able to attend three to four rallies each year during their travels from north to south. Texans and Oklahomans find that our rally locations are close to home. All motorhome owners — singles, couples, and family units — are welcome.
Our chapter has a Web site, www.ttoftexasfmca.com, as well as a blog (accessible from that Web site) and a newsletter for members. Dues are $35 per couple and $29 per single to join the first year, and then $10 per year thereafter. Anyone interested in discovering old friendships and making new ones is welcome to join us at Medina Lake for the 25th anniversary rally — you do not have to be a Thousand Trails member to attend — Thursday, November 8, to Monday, November 12.
