What happens after my eligibility is confirmed?
We will contact you via email to verify your membership dues and mailing address for the issuance of your check. The check will be issued for the amount paid, regardless of the last payment date.
What if my plan is not eligible?
We are actively expanding our network of healthcare providers that offer the Grouper benefit. We will keep you updated via email if your specific plan is added.
How long does it take to receive my check?
It can take up to 45 days to receive your check via mail after you complete the attestation form.
Do you only cover my dues for one year?
No! We will cover your dues once a year as long as your health insurance includes Grouper's Activity Benefit.
How do I prove I am an active FMCA member?
As a social activity benefit manager our primary objective is to get, and keep, people active. On a monthly basis will send you an email regarding your participation in FMCA activities. We use your answers to report activity data to your health plan. It is critical that you record participation on a monthly basis to ensure that together we can maximize the benefits of participation and ensure continued eligibility.
What type of events qualify as activities? Here is a list of some of those activities that qualify:
- Anything to do with CAMPING!
- Joining an FMCA chapter and or chapter event
- Attending an FMCA International Convention & RV Expo, or an area rally
- Going on an RV Tour
- Taking an RV education course
- Driving to your next location
- Enjoying an evening by the campfire with fellow RVers
- Volunteering
- Hosting a seminar
- Serving on a committee or board
What if I don’t report any activities?
If you do not report any activity and request a renewal payment, we will contact you to confirm your continued activity and engagement over the last 6 months. If you have no activity to report, you will not be reimbursed for your renewal dues.
This sounds too good to be true, what’s the catch?
Grouper believes in the power of social connection and has teamed up with insurance providers who believe the same. Groups such as the FMCA have been proven to help active adults live longer lives through all three determinants of health: physical, social and mental activity. As long as you remain active, they will cover your yearly membership costs.
What is in it for FMCA?
This is a Medicare Advantage and Medicare Supplement plan benefit. The primary benefit to FMCA is having the organization recognized as a healthy social outlet for people 65+. Financially there is a small marketing sponsorship to cover the cost of advertising this benefit. Outside of that, the full financial benefit goes to the FMCA member, which in return makes an FMCA membership more accessible to people.
