FRVA INTERNATIONAL CONVENTION AND RV EXPO FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

1. What is a FRVA International Convention and RV Expo?

It’s four days of everything RVing! Imagine one place where you can meet new friends, renew acquaintances, look through new RVs, shop for items to make your traveling experience more enjoyable, learn more about your RV and the travel lifestyle, and be entertained.

2. Why should I attend?

FRVA conventions draw folks for a variety of reasons.

Some come for the fellowship. Friends who travel together or who plan opportunities to meet down the road find FRVA International Conventions a great place to gather. FRVA members welcome the opportunity to include non-member guests to experience the fun of being part of the FRVA family.

Others are interested in finding that next RV to purchase. Many major manufacturers and dealers bring their best and newest products to display. It's a great place to compare brands and shop for that next home on wheels.

Conventions also provide attendees with an opportunity to have service performed on their RV. Knowledgeable technicians discuss problems with owners at the conveniently located FRVA Service Center or at their display. Repairs are arranged on-site or at an off-site repair facility.

Supplier and component exhibits offer one-stop shopping. Everything an RV owner needs, and much more can be found in the exhibit buildings.

Learning is a major component of any convention, and FRVA’s seminar program is second to none. Featuring technical seminars, educational seminars, make-and-take craft classes, and fun, fitness, and health sessions. If you’re serious about discovering more about the RV lifestyle, this is the place to be.

FRVA showcases entertainment appropriate for all ages, both throughout the day and in the evening.

Getting to or leaving the convention site provides opportunities to explore parts of the country you may not otherwise see.

3. What is the location of FRVA's 114th International Convention?

The “Hollywood on Wheels” event will be held at the Georgia National Fairgrounds & Agicenter in Perry, Georgia, March 17-20, 2027

4. How do I register?

We offer many different registration options.

5. Are there advantages to registering early?

Yes! You will receive a savings of $20 when you register by 11:59 p.m., Jan 20th, 2027.

6. Will there be on-site registration?

Yes. For those who have not pre-registered, you will be able to register onsite beginning Sunday, March 14.

7. I have friends that I would like to introduce to FRVA. Can they come to our International Convention?

Absolutely! Passports are available if your friends would like to visit the exhibits, go to seminars, participate in social events, and enjoy entertainment but don’t want to camp on the grounds. You can purchase a Full Event Passport (pre-registration available) or a Daily Passport (pay at the public gate).

A Day Pass entitles the guest to visit the coach displays and exhibits only and is available for $10 per day per person/$25 for a family of three or more.

8. Is my pet welcome?

Yes. Pets must be kept on a leash in the family parking areas unless they are providing service assistance. Pets are not permitted in the exhibit halls or seminar rooms. Please be considerate of others and clean up after your pets.

9. When will I receive my Credential Packet?

No mailing - ALL ATTENDEES will receive a Credential Packet at the Welcome Center when they arrive. The Credential Packet will include your rally badges, bonus bucks, Ladies’ Luncheon ticket (if purchased), tow-car hanger, and other items.

To ensure you're fully prepared for the convention, we will email the arrival information booklet, directions, a parking entry credential, and other pertinent items in February. 10. What happens if I have to cancel?

Refunds for this convention will be made only upon written request by emailing (This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.). Cancellations made by January 20, 2027, will receive a full refund minus $25 handling fee. Cancellations made after January 20, 2027, but before March 17, 2027, will receive a full refund minus $50 handling fee. No refunds after March 17, 2027.

Badges and confirmation materials must be returned to the FRVA home office before any refund is issued.

11. Are the exhibits open to the public?

Absolutely! FRVA members AND guests who choose not to camp on the grounds are welcome to attend.

There are two options: Daily Public Gate fee of $10 per person or $25 for a family of three or more (available onsite only) give attendees access to the coach displays and indoor exhibits.
Passports https://www.frva.com/frva-perry-2027-learn-more give you access to all exhibits, seminars, and entertainment. Perfect for people who choose not to camp on grounds but want to experience all the fun and entertainment. Passports are available for one day ($50 per person paid at the public gate) or for the full event ($225 per couple, $210 for individual before Jan 20, 2027; $245 per couple, $230 for individual after Jan 20, 2027).

The public gate ticket booth will be open Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., and Saturday from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

12. What are the hours of the exhibits?

Exhibit areas will open on Thursday, March 18, from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.; Friday, March 19, from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.; and Saturday, March 20, from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

13. What products will be displayed at the RV Expo?

You’ll find the latest RV models, components, and accessories. There will be new and pre-owned RVs on display, and many manufacturers and dealers have demo vehicles for test drives. We also have component/supplier companies displaying a wide range of components and accessories.

15. Tell me about the seminars.

Whether you are an experienced RV owner or new to the lifestyle, you'll find that FRVA's seminars cover all the bases. The seminar schedule will be listed in the program, which you will receive in your Welcome Bag, online, and on the event app. Seminars encompass a wide variety of topics, including technical classes on different aspects of RV maintenance, fuel efficiency, health, fitness, healthy cooking, travel, and many make-and-take craft classes.

Seminars will be held on Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, March 17, 18, 19, and 20. Seminars are not open to the general public.

16. Do I have to sign up for seminars?

Those who purchased Full Registration or a Passport are entitled to attend all seminars. Seating is limited in some of the seminar areas and may fill up early. Be sure to wear your event badge.

There may be several seminars that require pre-registration and a fee. More information about these classes will added as information is available.

A fee for materials will be charged for make-and-take craft classes. Registration for these sessions begins on Wednesday, March 17, at 8:00 a.m. in the Information Center. Classes fill up quickly, so it is recommended that you arrive early at the Information Center on Wednesday to register for crafts.

17. What is the scheduled entertainment?

Evening entertainment is open only to registered attendees (Full Registration and Passports). Visit FRVA.com to find out about the entertainment scheduled for the event.

18. Is RV service available?

Several companies will provide service during the event. Some will take pre-event appointments. Additional information about these companies will be sent to registered attendees prior to the event. A service center will be open on Thursday, March 18, from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. to sign up for service. After 12:00 p.m. and for the rest of the show, service appointments can be arranged at company booths when the exhibit hall is open. After signing up for an appointment, the service van will meet you at your RV in your parking area. Please do not bring your RV to the Service Center. Service is limited, and some firms may direct you to service facilities outside the grounds. Firms not participating at the Service Center should be contacted at their exhibit booth.

19. What is Will Call?

If you indicated in your registration that you would like your Credential Packet held at Will Call, it will be available at the Welcome Center when you arrive. All attendees will receive an email that includes directions, parking credentials, and other information needed to get to the Welcome Area in Gillette. You will receive your physical Credential Packet that includes your badges, purchased tickets, and other items when you arrive.

20. What is the Welcome Area?

This is a place where FRVA families and event guests meet friends so they can park together; pick up Will Call items; and where attendees who arrive prior to assigned parking days can wait for their assigned time to enter the grounds. The Welcome Area will be open 8:00 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday, March 14, through Wednesday, March 17.

21. Where will everyone be parked?

All parking will be at the Georgia National Fairgrounds & Agricenter.

22. What is the surface of the parking lots?

The parking lots are mostly grass and dirt.

23. Will electric service be available?

The Georgia National Fairgrounds & Agricenter feature 30-amp and 50-amp electric full-hookup sites along with 30-amp sites. When registering, you will have the option to choose the service you wish unless it has sold out. And an additional 10-gauge electric cord may be necessary if your RV cord does not reach the receptacle. FRVA also recommends that attendees have surge protectors on power cords leading to the electrical panel.

24. Is there a dump station and fresh water available?

There will be an on-site dump station with potable water station. FRVA has arranged pump-out roving services that may be purchased in the Information Center, Wednesday through Saturday. Fresh water is also available on-site or may be purchased and delivered. Please arrive with empty holding tanks and a full water tank. While fresh water and a dump station will be available, we ask that you do not attempt to drive to these facilities while RV parking is taking place.

25. Will I be able to stay on property after the event?

All families must leave the grounds by 12 p.m. on Sunday, March 21. If you would like to stay longer, contact the Georgia National Fairgrounds & Agricenter at 307-682-0552 to make arrangements.

26. What is a Welcome Bag (aka Goody Bag)?

The Welcome Bag contains your program, daily schedule of events and map, and the “Today” newsletter, among other items. Members of the Welcome Crew will be at distribution stations as you are parking to give you a Welcome Bag.

27. What is the on-site address to have mail sent to me?

Mail for family members sent to the address below will be sorted and available at the Information Center, located in the Wyoming Center beginning at noon on Wednesday, March 17.

28. May I bring my golf cart, scooter, bike, moped, or Segway?

Segways, scooters, and similar motorized devices are permitted on the grounds; however, they may not be used inside any exhibit hall, evening entertainment area, or other indoor area due to large crowds. Licensed vehicles are not permitted inside the exhibit areas and should not be parked in areas that block fire evacuation.

Due to the number of people visiting indoor displays and entertainment, only wheelchairs and personal mobility carts are permitted in these areas. Your cooperation is greatly appreciated.

By registering for this event, you understand that you must carry valid insurance on your personal mobility cart and or personal golf cart during the event.

29. Will golf cart rentals be available?

Contact Willandale Golf Cart Sales as the official golf car provider. Contact them at (330) 417-7480 to reserve a cart. A limited number of golf carts will be available for rent on site.

30. How is the weather?

Be sure to pack a jacket! It's usually Chilly in Perry, Georgia, with cloudy to sunny days. Expect daytime temperatures from 60s-70s with nighttime temperatures dropping into the mid-40s.

Emergency Procedures

When you call 911, tell the dispatcher your location.

To aid emergency personnel in locating the site of an emergency in a parking area, persons needing help should turn on their RV's emergency flashers and sound their horns.

Fire Emergency
In the event of an RV fire emergency, please evacuate on foot. Do not attempt to move your RV, as this may create a dangerous situation for fire equipment entering the area and for others attempting to evacuate on foot.

Starting Sunday, March 14, through Saturday, March 20, the Information Center will be staffed daily from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. On Sunday, March 21, 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

General Arrival and Departure

Family parking days are Monday, March 15, and Tuesday, March 16. Your registration fee includes these dates.

If you wish to arrive before March 15 and be parked at your final site, the fee is $40 per night, payable in cash or by check. Pay upon arrival. The earliest parking day is Sunday, March 13. Dry camping in the Welcome Area is free.

Welcome Area Hours are 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. If you arrive after 5:00 p.m., you may dry camp overnight until parking resumes at 8:00 a.m. the next morning.

Departure is Sunday, March 21, at 12:00 p.m. If you need to depart before March 21, please seek assistance to exit your campsite.

Water

Water is available at the fairgrounds near the permanent dump station. A-OK Portables will also have water available for $35 for up to 50 gallons. RVs with filters will be charged an additional $15. You may purchase a water sign for your RV from A-OK Services at the FRVA Information Center in McGill Marketplace. Dates and times to be announced closer to the event.

Cancellations

Septic Service

No full hook-ups, no worries. A-OK Portables will have septic trucks on the grounds to empty holding tanks for $35. If you wish to have your RV serviced by a roving septic truck, you may purchase a “septic” window sign for your RV from A-OK Portables at FRVA’s Information Center in McGill Marketplace. Dates and times to be announced closer to the event.

(7 min. away from Deschutes County Fair & Expo Center–3.1 miles) Head southwest toward Mount Jefferson Drive. Then, turn right onto Mount Jefferson drive and then turn left onto S.W. Airport Way. Attention Families: Hazardous conditions (forklifts, cranes, trucks, and trailers) exist in the exhibit areas prior to the opening of the event.

Please help reduce the risk of injury by not entering the exhibit areas before 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 18. Finalizing displays with visitors present is difficult. Thank you for your cooperation.

Garbage Collection

Garbage will be picked up daily. The first pickup will be on Tuesday, March 16; the last pickup will be on Saturday, March 20. Please leave tied plastic bags at the “street” side of your RV no later than 8:00 a.m.

Please do not leave open bags. Do not leave bags of garbage at your campsite when you leave. We appreciate your cooperation.

Golf Cart Rental

Willandale Golf Cart Sales (www.willandalegolfcartsales.com) will offer golf cart rental options for those attending FRVA’s “Hollywood On Wheels” Convention, March 17-20, 2027, in Perry, Georgia.

To pre-register for a golf car, download the form below. Call 330-417-7480 for questions or to order by phone. Willanddale will have a limited number of golf cars available for on-site rental.

Disabled Information

Activity Cart transportation into the disabled parking lots will be provided for attendees who have registered for the disabled parking area and who display a blue badge. FRVA Activity Cart Service will transport attendees parked in Disabled Lots to and from their RVs to all activity centers. Disabled attendees who park in the family parking lots may use the FRVA Activity Cart Service to travel inside the activity areas and to and from the tram stations. Disabled transportation to and from the family parking areas is not available. The Activity Cart service will be available to all attendees in the main activity areas. Transportation to and from the family parking areas is not available.

Information Center

Beginning Sunday, March 14, through Saturday, March 20, from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., FRVA staff and volunteers at the Information Center will be happy to assist with registrations, answer questions regarding FRVA ground facilities, and more.

Local Information

The Perry Area Convention and Visitors Bureau will have representatives at the FRVA Information Center from Monday, March 15, through Wednesday, March 17, from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. to answer your questions about local sites, tours, directions, restaurants, and services.

QR Code

FRVA will provide a QR code card in your Credential Packet to display on your RV once you are parked. A Parking Team volunteer will scan this code to get your information and RV location. If you change parking locations, your QR code card must be rescanned.

Lost And Found

Be sure to turn in any “found” items at the FRVA Information Center. FRVA endeavors to return any found items to their rightful owners. After the convention, unclaimed items will be transported back to Cincinnati headquarters. Contact the FRVA Events staff (800-543-3622; This email address is being protected from spambots. Attention: FRVA is not responsible for any misdirected mail or packages. Any packages not claimed by 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 20, will be returned to FRVA’s National Office in Cincinnati, OH. Please call (800) 543-3622 and ask the Events Department to arrange shipping.

Pets

Pets are welcome at FRVA international conventions but must be kept in the parking areas unless they are providing service assistance. Pets are not allowed in the activity centers – seminars, entertainment, morning coffee hour, etc. – or exhibit areas. Please be a responsible pet owner. Clean up pet waste; prevent the pet from making excessive noise; and keep it on a leash outside the RV.

Service Center

The Service Center will be located in the Miller-Murphy Hall lobby area on Thursday, March 18, from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Service sign-ups after this time can be made at the individual company booths.

Several firms exhibiting at FRVA’s “Hollywood On Wheels” International Convention will offer emergency RV service of various kinds.

FRVA Texting Service

TEXT-MESSAGING SERVICE

Receive text messages from FRVA regarding severe weather, special events, program additions, and event updates. Sign-ups for this service will be available approximately a month before the start of the event.

Transportation

Six-passenger Activity Carts will provide transportation for disabled individuals and those needing a ride around the grounds. Service will begin on Monday, March 15, at 8:00 a.m. to assist those who need transportation to the volunteer meetings held in McGill Marketplace. Activity carts will run each day from 7:30 a.m. until 30 minutes following the last activity scheduled for the day. Those participating in after-entertainment activities must find their own transportation.

Vehicle Traffic

Family attendee vehicle traffic is restricted to the family parking areas only. No family member vehicle traffic is permitted in the exhibits/activity areas.

Please remember that golf carts must have lights if operated after dusk or before dawn; operation of golf carts is restricted on city streets.

All motor vehicles, mopeds, motorbikes, and three-wheelers must be operated by licensed drivers only. Please remember that pedestrians always have the right-of-way. Motorized personal transportation devices that are not stabilized by three or more wheels may not be used under any circumstances inside any hall or other indoor areas during any FRVA function.

While we wish for you to have an enjoyable time on the grounds, we also are concerned about your safety. Please be courteous when operating golf carts, mopeds, scooters, Segways, and other motorized vehicles around the grounds. Attendees and guests who continue to operate these vehicles in an unsafe manner after being warned will be asked to cease the use of these vehicles. Continued violations may result in removal from the grounds.

Attention: The speed limit for mopeds, motorbikes, golf carts, Segways, scooters, and bicycles is 5 mph while on the grounds. This speed limit will be strictly enforced.

Water is available at the CAM-PLEX Multi Event Facilities near the permanent dump station West of the Horse stalls on Windmill Drive. (See grounds map for location.) Paintbrush Services will also have water available for $35 for up to 50 gallons. RVs with filters will be charged an additional $15. You may purchase a “water” sign for your RV from Paintbrush Services at the FRVA Information Center in the Wyoming Center. Dates and times to be announced closer to the event.

Credential Packets

ALL ATTENDEES will receive their confirmation packet at the Welcome Center upon arrival. The confirmation packet will include your badges, Bonus Bucks, Ladies’ Luncheon ticket (if purchased), and other items.
